Peaceful Lasagna

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 clove garlic pressed
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 8 ounce cans tomato sauce
  • 8 ounces green noodles thin
  • 6 green onions chopped
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • black olives halved
  • mushrooms sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Melt butter and add meat to cook.
  3. Add garlic, salt, pepper, sugar, tomato sauce, and mushrooms.
  4. Cover and cook, 15 minutes, over low heat.
  5. Cook noodles until tender and drain.
  6. Place 1/3 of the green onions in casserole dish, top with a layer of noodles.
  7. Blend together cream cheese and sour cream, and spread 1/3 over noodles.
  8. Cover with 1/3 meat sauce.
  9. Repeat layers 2 times.
  10. Sprinkle top of casserole with cheese and olives.
  11. Bake about 20 minutes, or until bubbly.
  12. Makes 6 servings.

Recipe Notes

No clue as to why this is called "Peacefull" Lasagna. Perhaps because it doesn't use lasagna noodles. This is more like another ground beef noodle casserole
