Universal Waffles

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs separated
  • 2 cups milk
  • 4 tablespoons melted butter

Instructions

  1. Beat egg whites until stiff, set aside
  2. Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt
  3. Beat egg yolks together
  4. Add milk
  5. Add to flour mixture and beat slowly and well
  6. Add melted butter
  7. Fold in stiffly-beaten egg whites
  8. Cook in a waffle iron
