Chai Tea

Ingredients

  • 1 quart water
  • 4 tablespoons Black Indian Tea "Red Label"
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garam Masala
  • 4 cardamom pods whole
  • 1 1 " length cinnamon stick
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger grated
  • 1/2 cup sugar

Instructions

  1. Bring the water to a boil.
  2. Add all ingredients and boil together about 5 minutes.
  3. Strain in a fine sieve.
  4. Mix 1 part milk to 2 parts tea when serving.
  5. Serve hot, as is, or cold over ice.
